On March 19, 2020, Partridge Jewellers, New Zealand’s premier luxury watch and jewellery retailer, announced the opening of a new Rolex boutique in Auckland. The first and the first-of-its-kind in New Zealand, the new boutique is situated in Auckland’s major commercial thoroughfare; in the heart of the luxury shopping precinct and occupies the ground floor of a heritage listed building renowned for its ornate façade.
“Partridge Jewellers are proud to have represented Rolex for over 30 years in New Zealand. We have five stores presently stocking Rolex and we are delighted to be opening a dedicated Rolex Boutique in Queen Street, Auckland. This is the first and only Rolex Boutique in New Zealand,” said Mr Grant Partridge.
ONE BOUTIQUE, A WHOLE ROLEX WORLD
Every element of the interior design features the elegant Rolex aesthetic and radiates the values of the Rolex crown. Excellence, precision and attention to detail emanate from the careful calibration of colours and patterns in the fittings and
furnishings.
Sensitive lighting accentuates the beauty of a selection of Rolex models in display cases lined with beige leather with bronze trims. A striking emerald aqua wall highlights Rolex’s rich heritage – its wave motif referencing the iconic Oyster, the world’s first waterproof wristwatch. This intense green is referred around the boutique, creating accents that harmonize a refreshed colour palette. The walls mix textures from walnut brown wood to beige-coloured stone and hand-crafted stucco panels in a pattern that recalls the fluted bezel of the Oyster watch.
The boutique features a distinct photo wall highlighting Rolex’s commitment to exploration and sporting associations. It includes, for example, New-Zealand-born mountaineer and first person to reach the summit of Mount Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary.
