The world’s most complex chronograph – A. Lange & Söhne Triple Split – one that can measure additive and comparative times for as long as twelve hours, just got a brand new avatar. Following on from the 2018 Triple Split, this one comes with an 18-carat pink gold case, blue dial and is limited to 100 pieces.
Germany’s finest watchmaker A.Lange & Söhne has seen time and history. Despite its headquarter being completely destroyed in a Soviet air raid, on 8 May 1945, the last day of World War II, A.Lange & Söhne against all odds managed to rise from the ashes and become a world leader in mechanical watchmaking. Today, the manufactory produces just a few thousand wristwatches each year – all with movements elaborately decorated and assembled by hand.
A. Lange & Söhne is putting the spotlight on its eponymous perpetual calendar complication with the launch of the new Lange 1 Perpetual Calendar timepiece, at Watches & Wonders 2021. Its integration into the prominent dial layout of the LANGE 1 was made possible thanks to a peripheral month ring created especially for this design. This new timepiece comes in two versions: pink gold with a grey-silver dial or – in a limited edition of 150 watches – in white gold with a solid pink-gold dial.
