The renowned German watchmaker Moritz Grossmann celebrates its tenth anniversary in November. To mark this special occasion the independent watchmaker from Glashütte reveals its eleventh special model, the ATUM Backpage Platinum.
This platinum single edition piece offers a showcase for Grossmann’s beautiful watchmaking art. With the exception of the delicate minute scale on the rim of the watch face the dial is completely exposed enabling spectators to admire all the beautifully intricate details of the movement.
The ATUM Backpage Platinum‘s artistically handcrafted movement has been mirrored and shifted to the dial side by Moritz
Grossmann’s master watchmakers. Thanks to an unexpectedly large dial cut-out, the characteristic movement details such as Grossmann’s balance wheel, a hand-engraved balance cock and three band snailings on the ratchet wheel can be fully observed while on the wrist. Wide Glashütte stripes are applied to both sides of the movement and the Moritz Grossmann logo is hand engraved on the dial side. Blue hands and blue screws, tempered in the manufactory, complete the elegant colour scheme of this extraordinary watch.
On the back of the movement, the winding and hand-setting mechanisms are openly integrated into the train bridge and can be observed in their full functionality. Almost all parts in the movement are mirrored in order to guarantee their function even when mounted in the opposite position.
The Moritz Grossmann brand manufactures timepieces to the highest standard of craftsmanship under the motto ‘Schönstes deutsches Handwerk’ – The most beautiful German craftsmanship. The ATUM Backpage Platinum is offered with the calibre 107.0 in artistic hand finish as a single edition 1 of 1.
