Mid last year, we received news that The LMDM Group, one of Australia’s oldest and most reputed distribution and retail company’s, welcomed Bremont watches into its portfolio of brands; with plans to open two Bremont boutiques, one in Melbourne and one in Sydney, signalling a new era of growth for the independent watchmaker.
A few days ago, the British Luxury Watch brand opened the doors of its first Australian boutique in the the St. Collins Lane Precinct, Collins Street, Melbourne.
Known for its welcoming, relaxed and gentlemen’s club-like ambience the boutique will display a full product range to allow enthusiasts and collectors alike to immerse themselves into the world of Bremont watches. Entirely in tune with the spirit of Bremont, the adventure and aviation theme can be seen throughout the St. Collins Lane boutique; from display furniture inspired by the construction of vintage aircraft through to a Martin-Barker ejection seat and a ‘wing bar’ drawing on the brand’s aviation history.
The boutique will also welcome the Bremont Adventurers Club where ambassadors and friends of the brand share their experiences with Bremont owners and their guests.
Bremont Co-Founder, Giles English, commented “Bremont has done a number of military projects with the Australian Airforce over the years and we have received such a warm welcome from Australians to date, it’s certainly always felt as though there has been a natural interest in the brand in this particular market. It’s wonderful to finally have a home here and have created a truly ‘Bremont’ space where consumers can come and experience all that Bremont stands for as well as learning about our ambassadors and our various product ranges, many of which have wonderful stories associated with them. Our watches are designed to be tough and durable, we work with adventurers who test them out in the field and put them through their paces, so we hope they’ll be put to good use for more of an outdoors lifestyle down under.”
Leon Mervis, Bremont Managing Director for Australia said “I am proud to announce the opening of our first Bremont Boutique in Australia. Bremont has it all… British engineering, aviation and mechanical chronometer watches tested beyond endurance. These beautifully designed, rugged watches should have strong appeal to both Australian men and women.”
Globally, Bremont has boutiques in London, New York and Hong Kong. Melbourne, Australia will be the sixth International boutique with plans to open a second Australian boutique in Sydney.
