Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Ultra Thin collection has been charming watch lovers for years now, all thanks to its clean lines, refined appearance and continuous quest for perfection. This SIHH 2019, the maison is celebrating the ‘ART OF PRECISION’ with the Master Ultra-Thin Moon Enamel; a timepiece that highlights the arts of guillochage and enameling, two of the Rare Handcrafts which have been kept alive for generations at the Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux.
Masterfully crafted, this 100 piece limited edition, proudly expresses its character with its hand-guilloché blue enamel dial. Manufactured in-house, completely by hand, the deep captivating blue dial brings to light the geometric motifs and the relief effect characteristic of guillochage, a traditional decorative technique more fashionable than ever. Furthermore, performing the guillochage work and the application of the translucent blue enamel layer requires an incomparable level of meticulous attention.
The moonphase on the dial has also been redesigned. When the moon is full, its perfectly round and polished white disk comes to rest on an exquisite stellar background.
Sleeker and more authoritative, the hour-markers are longer in comparison to the previous Master Ultra-Thin models and split into two at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. In an aperture at 6 o’clock, the counter that houses the polished moon phase has been engraved, a way of bringing out the numerals depicting the date.
Housed inside the watch’s 39mm white gold case is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Caliber 925, an automatic mechanical movement with a 70-hour power reserve.
