It’s not often you come across a collection of watches as timeless as the Reverso. First introduced in 1931, the Reverso’s characteristic swivelling reversible case, is what made it a true icon. Ever since, Jaeger-LeCoultre has released extraordinary interpretations of their highly-coveted timepiece, highlighting their passion for expert craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Own one or own many, each Reverso has a different story to tell.
At SIHH 2019, Jaeger-LeCoultre paid a fitting tribute to their timeless icon by introducing the Reverso Tribute Small Seconds in stainless steel with an intriguing wine-red dial. A hue so rich and elegant, it imbues the watch with a special aura. In this edition, the Reverso is presented on a red leather strap handmade by Casa Fagliano, the Argentinian artisans of premium leather goods, specialising in equestrian boots.
The watch measures 45.6 X 27.4mm in diameter with a thickness of 8.5mm. Despite its sleek, rectangular form, the Reverso Tribute Small Seconds, is an absolute pleasure to wear. With its swivelling, double sided case, the watch offers a perfect canvas for customisation to make it even more personal.
At the heart of the new Reverso Tribute Small Seconds is a manual-winding calibre 822/2, which runs at 21,600vph, and offers a power reserve of 45 hours. The inspiration still remains Art Deco with its geometrical case, appliqued hour-markers, small seconds dial and the Chemin de fer railway minute track in white.
The iconic Reverso continues to inspire those who design it, and adorn those who wear it without ever wanting to take it off.
