Crafting dials using pieces of meteorite is definitely not new to manufacture Jaquet Droz. It’s a testament to the brands’ creativity and the skill and precision of the watchmakers and artisans themselves.
To mark its 280th Anniversary, Jaquet Droz released three limited edition (88 pieces each) Grande Seconde Off-Centered Meteorite watches crafted in beautiful shades of pink gold; 39mm pink gold case, 39mm pink gold case adorned with 256 diamonds or 43mm pink gold case.
The meteorite dial of these watches feature Jaquet Droz’s iconic 8-shaped dial in pink gold, off-centered by about 30˚, with the hours and minutes indicated in the smaller ring and the seconds shown in the larger ring. The hour, minutes and seconds hands are also applied pink gold, giving the timepieces a sense of seamless symmetry.
Fragment of History
For those lovers of grandeur seeking something even more exceptional, look no further than the 3 Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Off-Centered watches with a Stromatolite dial. Offered in a 39mm version, 39mm set with diamonds and a 43mm, each piece is completely unique and one-of-a-kind, showcasing the natural beauty and individual identity of the stromatolite fragment used. It doesn’t get more limited edition than that! In case you’re wondering, Stromatolite’s date back almost 4 billion years and is a part of the Earth’s crust made up of living components and fossils.
All the new Grande Seconde Off-Centered watches, with meteorite or stromatolite dials are powered by Jacquet Droz’ 2663.P/2663A.P self-winding movement, with a 68-hour power reserve.
