This year Montblanc celebrates its second year as The Official Timing Partner of The Goodwood Festival of Speed and the spirit of racing with two new Limited Editions inspired by Minerva’s rich 160-year history – The TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph “Cappuccino” Edition – Limited to 1,500 pieces and The TimeWalker Date Automatic “Cappuccino” – Limited to 500 pieces. Frothy and delightfully creamy with a kick, that’s exactly how we like our cappuccino’s here. Available in a few selected boutiques, the two new limited edition models are inspired by the colour of the tropical dial effect; featuring a warm beige dial with brown counters and brown flanges.
Held between July 12 – 15, The Goodwood Festival Of Speed is one of the grandest motor racing occasions in the world and an important fixture on the British social calendar where enthusiasts will be entertained by some of the world’s most accomplished racing drivers behind the wheels of some of today’s rarest and most spectacular machinery.
As Official Timing Partner for the second year running, Montblanc will lend its timekeeping expertise to the numerous races that take place over the four-day event. The person who sets the fastest time in the much awaited 1.16-mile timed Hillclimb Shootout will also be the winner of a Montblanc timepiece — The Montblanc TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph “Cappuccino” edition.
Founded 25 years ago in June 1993, The Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates its Silver Jubilee this year with a presentation of its founder’s — the Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March) — 25 most memorable moments through an exhibition of cars and the drivers who created them.
“There are only a few motor racing celebrations as thrilling and exciting as Goodwood Festival of Speed. With the participation of magnificent cars that range from the vintage to the most avant-garde, this event is the perfect partnership for Montblanc, a Maison that celebrates its spirit of innovation and its long watchmaking heritage,” said Montblanc CEO Nicolas Baretzki.
Davide Cerrato, Montblanc’s Managing Director Watch Division adds: “Montblanc timepieces celebrate the unrelenting passion for speed that has been at the heart of motor racing for the past century. For the past 25 years, the spirit of racing has found its home at Goodwood, an event that brings together those who share this passion for speed from all corners of the world. I can’t think of a better venue.”
During the event, Montblanc will host a special Pavilion where guests can come and relax and discover the Montblanc collections. The Duke of Richmond will also be joining Montblanc and its guests for a special preview of the collection and a sneak peek at the winner’s timepiece.
