Back in March, we took our readers on a quick tour around Kennedy (One of Australia’s leading watch and jewellery retailers) and Officine Panerai’s newest project (The First Australian Panerai Boutique) at 10/360 Collins Street, Melbourne. But there was that one final piece of the puzzle missing, which is now officially complete – A GRAND OPENING…
On Thursday the 17th of May, Officine Panerai and Kennedy held an exclusive launch event in-store to witness the official ribbon cutting, together with Mr. Julio Sato, Managing Director of Asia Pacific Panerai and Mr. James Kennedy, Executive Chairman, Kennedy. Panerai and Kennedy special guests, clients and media came together to experience a unique evening in celebration of Panerai’s timepieces.
Guests were able to witness the brand’s outstanding identity of classic Italian design through the special display of Panerai’s Dial Evolution and Case Evolution, which were both displayed at the private residence, specially transported from
Panerai’s Manufacture for the event.
Australia’s best-loved concert pianist David Helfgott made it a night to remember. Helfgott’s extraordinary pianistic ability became globally admired, following his performance at the 1997 Academy Awards where film Shine, which was inspired by Helfgott’s life, won an Oscar and also received countless nominations.
The night ended with a private dinner at a unique residence where Australia’s most prominent chef Shannon Bennett
specially designed a custom menu for the evening, taking inspiration from Panerai’s key brand pillars and long standing legacy.
