Officine Panerai goes back to its roots with new versions of the Radiomir Logo and Radiomir Logo Black Seal 3 Days Acciaio timepieces, reinventing the very first watches created by the brand.
Named for the luminous radium-based powder created and patented by Officine Panerai in 1916, the Radiomir collection is a foundation block upon which the brand is built. Since the launch of the first Radiomir prototype timepiece in 1936, the watches in the collection have maintained a consistent aesthetic with the iconic cushion-shaped case, luminescent hour markers, onion-shaped crown and wire lugs.
The new Radiomir Logo and Radiomir Black Seal Logo watches also display these same recognizable, and extremely effective and versatile design elements.
Into the Deep
The 45mm case of both the Radiomir Logo and Radiomir Black Seal Logo are crafted from brushed steel and sit comfortably on the wrist despite the larger case, which are also quintessentially Panerai.
The black dial of the Radiomir Logo features luminescent applied stick hour markers and Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The Radiomir inscription is visible at 12 o’clock with the ‘OP’ logo at 6 o’clock rounding out the elements on the dial. The timepiece indicates the hours and minutes with luminescent hands for enhanced visibility, a subtle nod to the origins of the Radiomir watches and Panerai itself as watches and watchmakers for the Italian Navy and navy divers.
The Radiomir Black Seal Logo also has a black dial with applied indexes and Arabic numerals. It differs from the Radiomir Logo in that it has a small seconds counter at 9 o’clock in place of the Arabic ‘9’. The words ‘Black Seal’ also appear under the Radiomir inscription.
Both the Radiomir Logo and the Radiomir Black Seal logo come with leather straps in either black or brown with contrasting stitching in beige. The watches are powered by Panerai’s in-house manual caliber P.6000 movement with a 72- hour power reserve.
