Minimalist, bold and to the point – That’s how I like to describe the 2020 version of Officine Panerai’s Luminor Logo 44mm (PAM1084) and Luminor Base Logo 44mm (PAM1086). One model, two different interpretations, each a tribute to the legendary history of the brand.
Both these watches feature Panerai’s iconic cushion-shaped 44mm case. The cases are constructed from a solid block of polished AISI 316L stainless steel, and come with a polished bezel and the signature crown protector. This Luminor is powered by Caliber P.6000, which was conceived and developed within the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. A mechanical movement with manual winding equipped with a device to stop the balance when the crown is pulled out and a three-day power reserve delivered by a single barrel. The movement is reliable and solid thanks to the double bridge supporting the regulator.
A feature shared by both – the Luminor Logo 44mm (PAM1084) and Luminor Base Logo 44mm (PAM1086) models is the matt black dial, Arabic numerals and engraved indexes filled with neon green Super-LumiNova and the “OP” logo at 6 o’clock. PAM1084 is differentiated only by the presence of a small seconds indicator at 9 o’clock.

Water resistant up to 10 bar (about 100 meters deep), the new manual Luminor models are accompanied by a calfskin strap, in black or light brown with beige stitching and a pin buckle in brushed steel. The straps affix to the lugs using the Panerai Screw System. An additional black rubber strap completes the package, along with a special screwdriver to change the straps and for removing the buckle.
