Since the beginning of their partnership (approx. 4 years ago), Seiko has always been creating watches to suit Novak’s busy lifestyle. This year they will be slipping on an extremely distinctive evening dress watch with a perfect balance of sporty and formal, on Novak’s wrist.
As part of Seiko’s Premier Collection, the new watch will be available in two versions, one in a rose gold tone with a black dial and the other in an all black hard coating incorporating Seiko’s unique Kinetic Perpetual caliber. In the Kinetic Perpetual Caliber, the energy is conserved in a uniquely practical way. If the watch is unworn, it enters sleep mode and remembers the exact time and date for up to four years. As soon as it is picked up again, it awakens and automatically resets itself to the correct time and date. It even adjusts to leap years, up to February 2100.

Seiko fans in Australia will have to wait till September this year to get their hands on this one.
The style itself is a little dressy and a little formal. 42.9mm is just about right. Anything bigger would destroy the formal element of the watch. The strap combines tradition and sport with its hybrid silicone and leather construction and makes the watch both supremely elegant and very comfortable to wear. The dial has a striped pattern, like a perfectly mown grass court and the red tip on the second hand adds a lively but discreet touch. Novak’s ‘D’ emblem graces the crown and the case back carries his signature.
