RADO’s back on the Australian tennis scene once again with its third consecutive sponsorship of the Brisbane International tournament. This year the partnership celebrates its 10th anniversary with RADO extending its sponsorship of the event until 2020.
Part of the ATP 250 World Tour, Brisbane International is an outdoor hard court tournament held from 31 December 2017 – 7 January 2018. The tournament takes place at Queensland’s Tennis Centre, with feature matches played on Pat Rafter Arena. Brisbane International enjoys the distinction of being a combined ATP and WTA tournament, offering fans a chance to admire the athletic prowess of both male and female tennis stars.
“We’re really happy to be back on court in Brisbane for another three years,” said Matthias Breschan, CEO of Rado. “Brisbane International is a great platform to support the game of tennis and connect fans with our chic and sporty high-tech ceramic timepieces.”
RADO will be the official timekeeper at the tournament timing every second of every game with corner clocks in the shape of the sporty HyperChrome timepiece. The RADO smash corner will give visitors the opportunity to test their serve speed. Each participant correctly guessing their serve speed will be rewarded a tennis package from RADO.
“It’s wonderful to have RADO back on board for our tenth event as the tournament’s Official Timekeeper; I’m sure there will be hours of fantastic tennis to oversee,” said Tournament Director Geoff Quinlan.
