The Excalibur Huracàn by Roger Dubuis – an exceptional tribute to Lamborghini’s humble beginnings and present-day roaring success, packs some serious horological firepower.

Superwatch fans can gear up for a powerful example of what happens when visionary engineers meet incredible watchmakers with the launch of the total-black Excalibur Huracán: a striking expression of unfettered style and technical excellence. What’s unique about this timepiece is the synergy that both, Roger Dubuis and Lamborghini, have managed to achieve, without one overpowering the other.

Within the 45mm black DLC titanium case, you’ll notice several features that present parallels with the Lamborghini’s entry-level supercar, Huracán. Powered by an automatic RD630 calibre, and flaunting the same blend of performance, lightness, and security as its namesake, the Excalibur Huracán features a 12° angled balance wheel representing the movement signature associated with Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Adding to its speedster allure is a 360° oscillating weight inspired by and reproducing the same kind of speed effect as a Huracán wheel; while the upper calibre features a strut-bar design bridge reminiscent of those found on the V10 engine of the Lamborghini Huracán supercar itself. Other details include the honeycomb structure on the main plate reminiscent of Lamborghini air grilles, a hexagonal date window at 6 o’clock with distinctive speedometer-style numerals and a fluted crown evoking the look of a wheel nut.

Even if Lamborghini had chosen not to label this watch, the resemblance would have been crystal clear.
